              FEARS & PHOBIAS

The subconscious mind is programmed to act instinctively in times
of danger. An extreme, irrational fear or phobic response is simply
a misunderstood survival mechanism, a biological response usually
stemming from an incident (either remembered or forgotten) that
has provoked intense negative feelings. The subconscious mind has
then generalised the incident, stored the reaction as a learnt behaviour
and projects the same emotional response when presented with the
object, animal, person, place, situation or thought associated with
              the original incident.

However, fears and phobias do not have to have a specific cause.
Phobias can be caused through a misuse of imagination, from modelling
the behaviour of phobic parents, or a build up of anxiety from other
causes which the subconscious mind projects onto an object or situation
              without an obvious connection.

Because they deal directly with the subconscious mind, hypnotherapy
& NLP can be an extremely rapid and effective way of treating
fears and phobias. You don't have to know how or when your phobia
started and there are no direct encounters with your phobia. Usually
one or two session may be all that is required. There are currently
over 200 known fears & phobias - whatever your fear or phobia,
NLP and hypnotherapy can help you overcome it.

              HABITS & ADDICTIONS

A habit is a pattern of behaviour learnt at a subconscious level
that we have performed so often it becomes an almost involuntary
response. Although we may be aware of the habit, control lies in
the subconscious mind making it very difficult to consciously stop
              the behaviour.

Fortunately the subconscious mind learns very quickly and habits
usually respond rapidly to NLP and hypnotherapy, allowing you to
re-pattern your thinking, replace negative habits with positive
ones, change your behaviour, and overcome your habit or addiction.

              DEPRESSION

Depression is one of the most common conditions in the UK. Symptoms
can include feelings of persistent sadness, helplessness, hopelessness,
undue guilt or worthlessness, anger, excessive crying, low self-esteem,
difficulty in concentrating, sleeping problems, loss of appetite
or overeating, loss of libido or sexual problems, avoiding other
people and finding it hard to function in everyday routines (e.g.
              work/college/school).

Often the sufferer also experiences feelings of self-blame and inadequacy
because they are unable to break out of the depression by themselves,
which in turn causes more negativity.

There can be many causes of depression. Sometimes the person knows,
or believe they know, how the cycle of depression started. Sometimes
they don't consciously know but may have underlying, unresolved
emotions or issues within the subconscious mind.

Rather than trying to explain why they you are depressed or searching
for answers by going over the past, NLP and hypnotherapy can help
you gain more flexibility in your thoughts, feelings and behaviour
and help you move away from depression, view the past with a different
perspective and think of the future in a more positive light.

              GENERALISED ANXIETY DISORDER (GAD)

Anxiety is used to describe feelings of unease, worry, dread, hesitation
or fear when facing a stressful situation. It is normal to feel
some anxiety when we are facing something we consider to be difficult
or dangerous, but some people experience constantly high levels
of anxiety on a daily basis. Often there is no apparent trigger
or cause for their anxiety and the person knows they are being irrational.

Excessive worry, constant thinking, ruminating and dwelling on their
situation or the 'what ifs' of life, loss of interest in life and
lack of energy are common symptoms of Generalised Anxiety Disorder.
GAD can be mild and manageable, but for some people it can become
difficult to focus on daily activities and can become debilitating.

GAD can also aggravate or cause additional health problems, both
              physical and physiological.

NLP and hypnotherapy can help you gain more flexibility in your
thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and rapidly re-educate the learnt
response of anxiety so you feel more resourceful and capable when
facing situations, or the thought of situations, which previously
              made you feel anxious.

              PANIC ATTACKS

A panic attack often occurs suddenly, usually outside the home,
and is a severe attack of anxiety and fear that can leave the sufferer
feeling out of control. Panic attacks may seem unpredictable but
are usually a subconscious response triggered by an external situation,
an internal thought or an unresolved or repressed anxiety or memory.

People who suffer from panic attacks may also suffer from agoraphobia,
avoiding certain situations - such as open places, shops, lifts,
crowded places, social events - that may trigger a panic attack.

NLP and hypnotherapy can be very effective in treating both the
cause and the symptoms of panic attacks, teaching you how to relax
and let go of stress, addressing the root cause of the panic attacks
and re-educating your subconscious mind to think and respond more
              appropriately to stressful situations.

              POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD)

If you have experienced a traumatic event and are still experiencing
negative emotions about it you may be suffering from PTSD - an anxiety
disorder which can occur after experiencing severe trauma.

Although the traumatic memory may have been blocked out by the conscious
mind, the subconscious mind still remembers it. Negative feelings
associated with the original traumatic memory are triggered whenever
something even remotely associated with the original traumatic event
              occurs.

NLP and hypnotherapy can help re-pattern your thinking regarding
the traumatic event, allowing you to have different thoughts and
feelings towards it, and allowing you to move on with your life.

              OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER (OCD)

OCD is the constant performing of rituals or routines
to relieve the anxiety caused by recurring thoughts. People who
suffer from OCD repeat patterns of thinking, which repeats patterns
of feelings, which repeats patterns of behaviour.

OCD can be an external behaviour (such as repeatedly checking household
appliances are switched off, checking doors are locked, or repeatedly
washing their hands for fear of contamination), a physical behaviour
(such as picking at their face or pulling their hair), or an 'obsessive
thought' (where a person repeatedly obsesses over a negative thought
which they cannot seem to put out of their minds).

NLP and hypnotherapy can help stop OCD by teaching you how to think
differently, re-patterning the thought/feeling process at a deeper
level, and helping your mind and imagination work for you rather
              than against you.

              STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress is a normal response to the demands that are placed on us.
Although people respond differently to stress, the body's physical
response is generally the same for everyone. This response prepares
              us for action.

Excessive stress is a build up of prolonged emotional, psychological
and physiological pressure (either internally or externally generated)
and can be caused by many factors, or a combination or several different
factors, including working environment, workload, job dissatisfaction,
job insecurity, communication or relationship problems, isolation,
financial worries, living environment and responsibility to others.

Long term effects of excessive stress have been linked to other
health issues including complete mental or physical breakdown, ulcers,
              strokes, heart problems and cancer.

People are stressed by different things. It's not actually the situation
that causes the stress - it's the person's perception of the situation
and how they react to it that causes the stress.

Stress management can help by identifying your stressors, changing
the way you react to a more positive reaction, and teaching you
how to relax and how to cope more effectively with stress.
